Infant Program - Ages 6 weeks to 18 months

Parents will provide: ***Please mark all items clearly with the child’s name***

Diapers
Baby wipes & extra hygiene toiletries
Extra change of clothes
Bottles & formula/breast milk
Crib Sheet & Blanket

An information form will be completed each day your child is in attendance at the center. This form will include diaper changes, eating/drinking intake and daily activites your child has engaged in throughout the day. According to the child's development, the center will introduce table food with the parent's permission. Parents will also provide a napping and eating schedule for the teacher, updated regularly according to the child's development. Our center participates in the Child and Adult Food Care Program, which includes one type of formula and jar foods. Please see the Director for more information on this program. Special accommodations will be made for children on an individual basis for special needs.

No outdoor shoes are allowed in this program room for the health and safety of the infants.

Toddler Program - Ages 18 months to 3 years

Children in this room will need: ***Please mark all items clearly with the child’s name***

· Diapers/pull-ups

· Wipes

· Blanket for rest time

· An extra set of clothing (more if in process of potty-training)

· Crib Sheet (to cover child’s cot at rest time)

The activities and curriculum planned for the children will be developmentally appropriate for their age and abilities. Special accommodations will be made for children on an individual basis for special needs. The center and families will work together on potty training.

Preschool Program - Ages 3 years to Kindergarten

Children are cared for in this program as needed before and after their preschool program. Care is also offered on days when there is no preschool due to inclement weather or on scheduled no preschool days. Children in this program will need to bring a blanket & crib sheet for rest time.

The activities planned for the children in this program will be developmentally appropriate for their age and abilities. The center will use activities and curriculum that help to continue the education that the children are receiving in their preschool programs. Special accommodations will be made for children on an individual basis for special needs.

SCRC 3-Year-Old Preschool

A specific 3-year-old preschool is offered on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday’s from 8:30-12:00 during the Stanton School year. All 3 year-olds at the center will be able to participate in this program if they are here during those hours; The Stanton Child Resource Center offers a comprehensive 3-year-old preschool program using The Creative Curriculum as our foundation. This is a well-researched and well-respected curriculum that describes each subject area and shows how to teach it in ways that support children's academic progress while respecting the way they grow and develop. Using The Creative Curriculum as a guide, we offer children choices, give children ample opportunities for creative expression, allowing children freedom to explore the environment, permit children to get messy during play, encourage children to work independently, and promote problem solving and appropriate risk taking. Our 3 yr old Preschool program is also proud to offer, Handwriting without Tears. The Handwriting without Tears methods are based on the developmental abilities of young children and uses a variety of multisensory (visual, touch, listening and movement) teaching strategies. We use music, movement, Wood Pieces, letter play, building, and coloring to develop skills.

Before & After School Program - Kindergarten to 12 years

The center provides care for school age children before and after school, throughout the summer, as well as no school days. It is important that the parents let the school, as well as the center, know when the child will be attending Stanton Child Resource Center so that we can make sure we know where your child is and know when to expect the child at the center. Special accommodations will be made for children on an individual basis for special needs.
